Why this must be read: Yet another group of fans unhappy with the direction the show headed decided to take matters into their own hands. In this case, they weren't too pleased with the departure of Jack in S9, and decided to write their own version. And what an excellent version it is. All the characters, particularly Jack, Walter and Reynolds, get a chance to shine. The character development is well done, and the writers do an amazing job fleshing out secondary and original characters. Reading one of these seventeen episodes feels like watching the show. There are some incredibly creative and well thought out plots, especially in terms of the Jaffa, the Tok'ra and their relationship with the Tau'ri, and I for one would have loved to see this play out instead of the canon. I love seeing Jack in charge and the more bureaucratic side of things. It's an interesting view from behind the big desk. Unfortunately, the season was never officially wrapped up with a finale, but these episodes are definitely worth the read.
