Why this must be read: Again, Elizabeth's POV, and it's guaranteed to make you laugh. Short, but well worth the read. Poor overworked Liz can't make that inner voice shut up and it is bound to land her in trouble.
Which brought her thoughts back to Caldwell, who she'd been forced to work closely with during John's incarceration in the infirmary.
Caldwell certainly played a mean game of chess.
Lately he'd seemed more relaxed, looser, around her. She liked seeing that in him.
"Not to mention seeing him in those sweaters," the voice piped up.
"I really don't need this right now," Elizabeth muttered to herself as she beat a hasty retreat out of her office and headed for the lab. Maybe surrounding herself with a group of mad scientists would keep it quiet.
