My final rec for this month is, admittedly, completely self serving - as it was written for me! *g*
A simple scene, not particularly long, in which we enjoy the shivery joy of possibilities - of discovery and romantic interludes.
My reaction to this little gem at the time:

Enjoy this smile making bit of joy in which John discovers more than he probably wanted to know about his superior officer, and exhibits an admirable sense of fairness. While there, enjoy a bit of Blue...another ficlet for me, capturing Rodney's steamroller effect perfectly. I count these two as connected in some way in my fangirly brain. Not sure which would come first, but they live in the same world of Lilyleia's
