Why This Must Be Read: WHile this story takes place from Rodney's point of view and has lots more to it than just John, it is nonetheless an insightful look into how John is, and how the relationship between him and Rodney could be the most meaninful he has without it being sexual or romantic in nature.

Wah, I was about to sign up for the h/c category to rec this story! (And a couple others, but mostly for this one. :D)

Still one of my absolute favorites in this fandom, for the way it deconstructs Rodney and puts him back together. And it says so much about friendship and team, too.
