Why This Must Be Read: This series of interlinked stories about Teyla's pregnancy, childbirth and the immediate aftermath is made slightly AU by seasons four and five, but it's so warm and wonderful that I prefer to think there's a universe out there (maybe more than one) where this is how it went. One of the things that makes this series so sweet is that it's not an overly romantic look at pregnancy and motherhood; this is warts-and-all pregnancy with discomfort and irritability and morning sickness, but Teyla's boys are there to see her through and help her afterwards, and the characters' love and affection for each other shine through in every word.
