A nice long read for the weekend.
Why This Must Be Read: The beginning scene with our duo in line and then Jack's thoughts at the theatre all the way to the encounter at Jack's front door are possibly my favourite scenes in fandom. When I think of Jack and Daniel this is how I see them. I could and no doubt will, read these scenes fifty more times and still love them. I also love the off world action/misson and the Cater in this story is fantastic. You will love the many original characters you meet, all brilliantly crafted from Lucy and Iris all the way along to the Twins.
Bonus.
The sequel to this is Vanillia Sunday a nice sappy Sunday with the boys. Swimming, More terrific OCs, Quilts, doillies, a dog, Law enforcement and yummy food followed by some cliché cuddling and more great food, Fluffy? You bet, but who cares fluff is often just what I am looking forward to reading.

I love Jack during the movie too.
Date: 2009-08-08 02:47 am (UTC)I have trouble deciding between this, Accidents and Understanding and the joy that is World Enough and Time. Generally I say this and Vanilla Sunday would win...probably. ;)

Date: 2009-08-08 01:38 pm (UTC)Diversions would come in pretty close to my top because it was the first slash story I'd ever read. And it still stands up after all this time, to me, that's the mark of a truly well-written story.
