Why This Must Be Read:
I'm indulging in a Rodney-not-doing-too-great fic because I'm feeling sick right now and it helps to read about his suffering. :)
In all seriousness, this is a great story. It's convincingly from John's view, as he handles Rodney who temporarily, cannot speak. I love this John, who worries, who needles, who is very in character, and this Rodney, who comes through strongly even when he can't talk. Everyone is wonderfully written here and I don't think I can say more since it's not too long a story. Also, the meds are making me feel a bit drowsy. Suffice to say, it's a good story, it has funny moments, angsty moments and wonderful McShep. Reeeeeaaaaaaaaad iiiiiiiiiiitt.
Author's summary: Rodney was released from the infirmary with painkillers, icepacks, and a strict injunction to limit all unnecessary speech for at least three days.
