Rec Category: Rodney McKay
Character: Rodney McKay, John Sheppard, OC
Category: humor
Warning: Slash, KidFic

Why This Must Be Read:
You know how McKay and Sheppard always embroil each other in the weirdest schemes? This hilarious story is an excellent example of this phenomenon. The Coreenians would love to trade with Atlantis, but there's this little issue of trust. Sheppard really wants to trade with the Coreenians, and is willing to show the Coreenians that the Lanteans are trustworthy. Especially Dr. McKay. He's really trustworthy. And things just spiral from there...
I must confess that this story is not entirely Rodney-centric. Only the latter half of the story is told from Rodney's POV (the first half is from John's POV). But the Rodney section is so Rodney that I hope you'll indulge me on this one. Pru has given a voice to Rodney's neurotic self, and we get front row seat watching clueless Rodney trying to find a clue. This is a must read because it's plain fun. The narrative flows beautifully, the bickering flows fast and furious and the imagery (the, umm, VIVID and, umm, EXPLICIT kind) is very yummy.
And, as an extra treat, the story is available as a podfic. And its read by the author herself, so you know the voices and intonations are spot-on.
