Why This Must Be Read:  Set shortly after Daniel's descension in Season 7, the author touches lightly and subtly on the strife in Jack and Daniel's relationship, pre-Meridian, while portraying the perspective both loss and time brought to each man.  Her characterizations are spot-on, her Jack and Daniel as warmly familiar as the ones in canon, while setting at least one fic standard - Instead of clueless Daniel, we get clueless Jack. - on its ear in a way that's refreshing and... so Jack and Daniel.  Romantic, sexy, and funny, with a treaty signing on an alien world providing a perfect backdrop, this tale shows the magic that can happen when two men are on the same page at the same time, with the same graceful pace and line as the rise of that alien world's new full moon.
