Why This Must Be Read: Because siegeofangels takes one of the ultimate fic cliches - stranded off-world - and elevates it far beyond cliche. She does a wonderful job of combining the details of Sam and Jack's survival with the emotional turmoil they're both in as they struggle to maintain hope while remaining realistic about their chances of rescue. And the ending is just perfectly Sam and Jack. Absolutely a must read.
