Whether or not you're a fan of Jonas Quinn (or Season Six, for that matter), a man who was a member of SG-1 for an entire year deserves more than a single throwaway line. I always love stories that fix this egregious omission by the show, and Beanpot's contribution is especially fun!

Jonas tracks two strangers from a bar, convinced by the woman's "Hello Kitty" barrettes that they're from Earth. He's quite proud of the tracking skills he learned from Jack and Teal'c - until, of course, he discovers that he's been neatly tracked himself. Exhausted from being on the run and longing for the sanctuary of Earth, he's ready to risk it all on the chance that maybe, just maybe, he can finally call someplace "home" again.

Great banter and characterization, and a lovely homecoming. After all, we don't leave our people behind, do we?


She was chewing gum - definitely from Earth. His heart was starting to race a little faster and he was sure this woman could tell. After all this time of being alone and on the run, maybe someone from the SGC had gotten his message and had come looking for him. Reynold’s team maybe, or some other one as he didn’t know these two people.

He pushed back the tiny thought that she didn’t seem to know him either and instead threw out a line she’d recognize, “Are you doubling your pleasure with Double Mint?”

The pressure of the gun at his back lessened for a brief moment before it was shoved even harder into his spine. “Oh yes, I do believe I’m keeping you. Mitchell will be back with Muscles soon and we can figure out just who you are and why we should shoot you.”
