Why This Must Be Read: Written for the 2007 sg_ep_ficathon the request was An in-between scene of Sam's initial escape from the mountain and her phone call to Maybourne, with some thoughts on how Teal'c trusts her to bring back help. Insight into why she chose Maybourne would be a plus and Tielan gave us an absolutely beautiful story.

'No Second Guesses' is a beautiful look inside Sam's head, this is my definitive Sam story, it shows us everything we love about the character, her determination, her doubts but most of all how far she is willing to go to make sure that the Alien incursion is stopped.
