Why This Must Be Read: Set in an alternate universe where Weir is still in charge when Sam comes to Atlantis, this story is actually a series of ficlets dealing with the evolving romance between Sam and John. Raisintorte does a masterful job of showing us a sweet, lighthearted romance without trying to deny or erase all the pain and turmoil both characters have suffered over the years. Great insights into both characters and a completely realistic romance makes this fic a definite must-read.
