beatrice_otter does an awesome job of combining action, suspense, romance and humor with a touch of angst in not a lot of words. Without giving too much away, the use of description perfectly gives you the sense of urgency that Sheppard feels here.
I'm a sucker for fics where jeapardy leads a character to an epiphany about his/her feelings, and I love how the author explores that in this fic, making excellent use of every word.
