Two things make this fic remarkable: first, that the author is primarily a het writer and *doesn't* slash Daniel at all, but got Daniel/Jonas in a ficathon and still managed to pull off this awesome piece. Second, her challenge was to write a Daniel/Jonas fic without angst, and she pulled *that* off too! As much as I've gushed about loving the angst inherent in this pairing, one of the things I adore about this fic is that it *didn't* have it and yet still worked beautifully for me. This is the Daniel/Jonas relationship that those other fics make you long so bittersweetly for, and the great part is for once--for this little glimpse into an AU--they *get* it! :-)
