Why This Must Be Read: The female oddballs of Atlantis get together for some poker and some girlbonding. Because why should poker night be reserved only for men? Also, contains Elizabeth, Kate, Teyla and Laura being vulnerable in some ways and strong in others, which is a nice example of how people really are. I tend to dislike fics where everyone is Strong All The Time, because that? Just isn't possible. And I also like fics where people are part of a community, and this shows how the four women involved take and give back to their unique group of friendship. I'm reccing this for the Elizabeth Weir category because it's nice to see Elizabeth acting as an equal and as a friend, and not in her role as leader of Atlantis, though you get the sense with this story that she will fall back into that role in a heartbeat when it's needed.
