Why This Must Be Read: Elizabeth is having a stressful day in Antarctica. And she copes with it. I like this one because of this: How often do you see characters who're under stress in fic who deal with it themselves and move on from there? It's usually meant to be the breakdown that starts up the 'ship, or emphasizes it, or something. And it's got John, and Rodney, and it's a lovely first meeting piece, but what I like best about it is that it shows Elizabeth's independence.
