Why This Must Be Read: This story was written for a list that I participate on – Ancient Obsessions. The list is particularly centered on Jack and Daniel Friendship and this particular challenge was to make “Jack Cry”. Well I had a hard time with this challenge – really couldn’t see it happening very easily except in some very specific circumstances. Kreek treats this the same way I look at it and comes up with a very unique and engaging story. The story is AU in that there are some episodes wiped out of reality. Jack is remarried to Sara and he is very much shut down emotionally as far as his attachment to the Air Force and SGC. In this story Daniel is declared dead and Jack must deal with this and the revelations that occur afterward. Remember this was written for a list that has Jack and Daniel friendship at its core – so you will not be disappointed! A very well written, well thought out story.
