Why This Must Be Read:

This is just a nice little story with Sam and Daniel on Atlantis. It's also got a great Sam POV and we get to see through her eyes, the Daniel that just delights in learning and exploring. It's stuff like this that I love about this pairing. They have so many similarties that they just connect, and a lot of things don't even need to be said out loud, as this fic demonstrates.

Daniel stood on the balcony of Atlantis, overlooking the ocean and the city sprawling to the West and there was such a simple joy on his face that it pained Sam to note that she’d been so used to the serious and damaged Daniel, she’d almost forgotten what this looked like.
