Why This Must Be Read: For me, Moebius is up there with Meridian in the angst stakes -- maybe worse, because Daniel came back after Meridian. In Moebius, Daniel's teammates all get killed in the failed uprising, and he's marooned in ancient Egypt with the second timeline Jack, Sam and Teal'c for the rest of their natural lives. This fic works as an episode fix for me: The second attempt to restore the timeline fails spectacularly and we follow the story of a third timeline Jack and Daniel in a world at war against Nazis allied with goa'uld. It's up to this pair to figure out what happened and try again. Meanwhile, there is romance. The story could have used a beta reader, but the adventure is creative and engaging.
Warning: If you are a fan of the second timeline Jack and Sam's romance, you'll be offended by this one.

Three children yelling his name caught Daniel's attention, and the fear in their voices even managed to stop O'Neill and Carter from their hormonal pursuits and look around, as did Daniel. The three children, two girls and one small boy, pointed behind them just as a figure emerged around the corner. Daniel didn't know what to think, as the man that came striding forth was six foot two, long honey blond hair past his shoulders, flowing in the wind. The left side of his face had a scar straight up and down from mid-cheek to brow, a patch covering his eye. Daniel's first thought was Snake Plissken from the film 'Escape from New York' had leaped off the reel and was now storming toward them, but the other side of the face was very familiar, but how?
It didn't take long for Daniel to notice that this futuristic Jack was heading right at O'Neill and Carter and by the raised gun, for that was what it had to be, he had every intention of killing them.
