One of the joys of sci fi is the ability to play with time, which Stargate SG-1 has done canonically with Window of Opportunity, 1969 and 2010, and Moebius. So I wanted to rec some of my favorite fics that have played with the concept.

Why This Must Be Read: This is a heart-breaking tag for Moebius in which Daniel somehow accesses the memories of that first timeline's trip to Egypt -- remembers being with Jack, watching Ra kill his friends. He knows that the new timeline is his "real" timeline, but now he also knows what he's lost/has never had. Grab kleenex.

Excerpt:
Full circle, that's what it is. Snakes and tails and teeth, Greek legends and lies, time on a strip of paper, ripples on water. A lousy metaphor, a cosmic joke, but it makes a horribly perfect kind of sense that Jack would kill Ra would kill Jack, because that was the only way to end it, and now Daniel is the last one alive and he's home, and he remembers, and everything is how it's supposed to be.
