Something was brought to my attention tonight by one of our rec'cers and in response, I have donned my 'Admin' hat and had a nice chat with my fellow admin ([Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]) and we have made a couple of decisions that we need to inform everyone of.
From now on, there will be no anonymous commenting as that has been disabled. You must be a registered LJ user in order to leave a comment.
Why did we do this?
It was never actually listed as a rule (although it should be been), but there will be no flaming. Ever!
I was rather surprised to find out that it had happened, honestly. The comment has been deleted as any flame will be. We can disagree. We can post that we disagree. I've been pointed to comments before that have been disagreements, but they've not been flames.
Like I said, 99% of the time there are no problems with this community. I'm very pleased with the comraderie we have here. But when an incident arises, please feel free to send either [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] or myself ([Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] an email and we'll look into it for you.
