Author's Summary:

Jessica Fletcher’s memories return in a flash when John Sheppard sits in the command chair at the Outpost.

Why This Must Be Read:

The author says, "The other night before I fell asleep I asked myself how I could get Jessica Fletcher through the gate to Atlantis." Spikedluv is a Jessica Fletcher fan and has written other cross-overs you can check out on AO3.

She calls it cracky but it's not too far from what went on in canon... it's a fun and sweet story that I think everyone will enjoy.

ETA: For the Jessica Fletcher fans, check out the comment below for another fun Jessica crossover!

Jessica joined Major John Sheppard on the bench where he sat with one hand covering the other. John didn’t look up until Jessica spoke.

“Are you going?”

John looked at Jessica in confusion. “Going?”

“Yes. To Atlantis. Are you going?”

John’s expression went blank. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Atlantis,” Jessica said. “The city of the Ancients.”

John looked around as if wondering whether this was a test or if he should try to escape. “Listen, lady . . .”

“Jessica,” Jessica said. “My name is Jessica Fletcher. And I’m sorry to have just blurted it out like that, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been reminded of home. Actually, it’s been a long time since I remembered home.”

“Are you trying to tell me that you’re from Atlantis?” John said, not even trying to hide his skepticism.

Jessica let out a deep breath. “I came alive again, or rather, my memories did, when you activated the Antarctic Outpost.”

“I didn’t . . .” John began, then cut himself off.

“I’m sure the others did what they could, but that outpost didn’t come alive until you sat in the chair.”
