That sounds like a fun idea, and I'm really enjoying the way you're stretching your reccing wings (so to speak) and exploring new themes and ideas each month. :)
Not sure if it qualifies as AU, though, which usually suggests either a drastic (permanent) fork in the road or a different beginning point. How about drama, or angst, or hurt/comfort, or horror?
Of course, if you do feel that AU is the best fit, than go for it, says I!
