Author's Summary:
Evan says, "Yes," when General O'Neill asks him to head up the new expedition to search out Atlantis. "Thank you, sir," he adds, because O'Neill is watching him with an odd expression on his face, like he'd expected Evan to object, or hesitate, or ask why him.
Why This Must Be Read:
Earth's war with the Ori was long and hard fought. Earth won but paid a steep price, especially in the form of its warriors.
The Atlantis Expedition was sent off, hoping for weapons to use against the Ori but never heard from again. Now that the war with the Ori is over, it's time to see if the Expedition can be found again.
But there is truth in the saying: Be careful what you wish for.
A fascinating look at what might have happened.
I'm glad Jack O'Neill is in this enough to be able to rec it! Because this really is Lorne's story... and Vala is a surprising but wonderful addition!
