(This is my first time making a rec so I hope I did this right.)

Why This Must Be Read: NotTasha has always been one of my favorite SGA writers so I was excited to see she posted a new story after many years away from the fandom. This story is sweet and heart warming, with a darker backdrop. It includes so many of my favorite elements, including Rodney playing piano and bonding with a troubled kid.

This fic is short but the second story in the series Nash Stories. Both stories in the series are sweet and well worth reading. This one can likely stand on its own but I would recommend reading Weird Kid first (9,028 words) as it will make this story even more special.

Why This Must Be Read: This is set in Mensaverse where John is a geeky genius scientist, Rod is Rod, Sumner takes up knitting, and Teyla is scarier and harder to read. With John being both oblivious and paranoid, that sets the scene for many miscommunications. It's very clever, very funny, definitely an AU take on everyone, and highly recommended.
