Why This Must Be Read: I'm sure this fic is well known, but candle_beck's two SGA stories are so great, and this one hasn't previously been reccd here. This is the longer one, which is the epitome of 'idiots to lovers' and a marvelous Rodney POV. So much obliviousness, so much repression and displacement before they get their heads out of their asses in an extremely satisfying way. And throughout, Teyla and Ronon look on and deal with with the fall-out, Teyla of course much more long-suffering than Ronon who mostly wants to bang their heads together. Candle_beck's writing is inventive and funny, and while this is very much from an unreliable narrator's POV at first, Rodney gradually figures out what's going on - partly by drawing up hilarious lists - and they get there in the end. A cracking good read!
