fignewtonI opened a file dated 2007 on my PC and found this rec, completely written out and ready to go. I needed to hunt for an alternate link, but hey, it took only 15 years to post... :)

Why This Must Be Read: This short, feel-good fic is an exercise in wishful thinking: wouldn't it have been nice if TPTB had taken advantage of Jack's fish-filled pond at the end of S8 to change a few more things?
Short, sweet, and to the point, this fic takes SG-1 home from their trip to Jack's cabin to discover that their journey to the past has had a few more repercussions than they originally thought. Put this one in the "if only!" file, and take it out to reread whenever you're particularly missing one spit-fire, Napoleonic Little Doc and one snarky, wry and intelligent Tok'ra.
