Why This Must Be Read: The author's summary for this fic is: Earth is facing a catastrophic climate upheaval that will be an extinction-level event for most life, including humans. Humanity's only hope is to reach a new Earth elsewhere in the galaxy. Colonel Sheppard and Dr. McKay are leading the charge on the science and exploration front, while David Parrish is just trying to collect plant samples for transport on one of the big space ships while breaking in a new pilot/bodyguard, dodging extreme weather, and nearly getting killed by fanatics.

This was written for me for the 2022 SGA Secret Santa Exchange, and let me just say that it's freaking amazing, and perfect. It combines Lorne being awesome, an apocalyptic scenario, science, strangers-to-lovers, and a hopeful ending. The writing is amazing, the story line is compelling, and did I mention Lorne being awesome? Also, wonderful Parrish POV. I love this story so much. You should definitely read it!

Why This Must Be Read: This is not only a delicious foursome, but also a very hot dom/sub fic, plus House and McKay are vampires! It's a remix of the similar but non-vampiric story Out of the Blue by Dee_Laundry. The vampire tropes here are that vampires are known in society and form life-bonds with a "companion" where the vamp is dominant and the companion submissive. It's a super-hot and funny fic with snappy dialogue. McKay and Sheppard have been pining for each other for ages, and House verbally bangs their heads together and gets them not only to have first-time sex but to form a companion bond, in the most sarcastic manner imaginable. Good times. :)
