In the post-mission briefing after Maternal Instinct, Daniel insists that he needs to make one more trip through the Stargate. Angst level high, Jack POV.

 

Why This Must Be Read:

For a number of years, Fig ran an SG-1 'Alphabet Soup' challenge on her journal. She'd have a theme and you'd sign up for a letter and do a story that fit the letter and the theme. There was some really creative things that came out of that. The last soup, well after the end of the show, kind of slid off into oblivion and there are a few letters left to do... This is one of the missing letters.

This is classic SG-1. The mission debrief after losing the Harsesis child has some implications the writers never addressed that Fig addresses here.
