Author's summary: When SG-1 visits a planet involved in a civil war, Jack is forced into making a promise in order to save a group of children from death. Will the cost be his own life?

Offworld action / adventure, teamwork, a moving scenario, the very best of Jack O'Neill, plus honour and commitment - these are a few of the rewarding things found here. In addition, I love the way this story is structured, taking the reader directly into the middle of the action while artfully filling in the gaps as it moves forward. So very well done!
