Why This Must Be Read: Another classic here, but why not re-read it! In this story John starts out dark, well, dark-ish, as he's a Sith lord, but of course, with a troubled past to explain things. Rodney's an unlikely Jedi whose talents with the Force mainly lie in fixing machinery, which isn't a skill Jedi value overmuch. This is delightfully full of tropes - misfits in love (eventually), dark-side fic, redemption and finding yourself arcs for them both, and the classic: enemies to lovers. It's also very funny and a wonderfully clever Star Wars fusion. Well worth regular re-reads, and highly entertaining.
