Why This Must Be Read: This series will be well known, and this fic’s a favourite of mine. An AU where John’s a cop and he’s Rodney’s hot neighbor. John is divorced, and has intermittent access to his son, so it’s also kidfic - very well handled and realistic. The writing’s engaging and fresh - it carries you along so beware, the story can be hard to put down. There’s plenty of plot, and stagate elements are gradually introduced. And of course the developing friendship between John and Rodney. The second work in the series was abandoned after 4 chapters, but it’s still a good read - and this one’s complete at 20 chapters. Very engaging, and I highly recommend it.
