Team, exciting action, intricate plot, great Teyla, strong characterization, wonderful interactions, twists and turns that would be too spoilery to mention, and did I mention "TEAM"? - an excellent, intriguing story, a satisfying read. Certain bits are a bit heartbreaking but dont't worry, the end is happy enough. :-)

Why This Must Be Read: This is probabaly quite well-known, but it hasn't been reccd for 5 years and that was in another category, so as I'm doing Tok'ra and Goa'uld recs I really wanted to include it. It's a marvellous long, plotty, satisfying read, and obviously the fact that I'm reccing it in this category, plus the excerpt below, are both slightly spoilery - but wait, there's more!  Lots and lots more. Highly recommended for a great read, lots of John and Rodney snark, and a nice long slow-burning relationship between them.

Why This Must Be Read: Daniel gets wings while in a temple on what should have been a routine mission (you'll figure that out pretty quickly, and it's tagged 'wingfic,' so it's not a spoiler). Jack gets all protective of his archeologist.

But being Daniel, he has to explore having wings, how it might have happened and how they work. All to Jack's consternation and frustration.

While this is a 'team' fic, it really is about Jack and Daniel, and what goes on in Jack and Daniel's relationship as Daniel immerses himself in his research.

Oh, and sex and feathers! That alone makes the fic worthwhile!
