Why This Must Be Read: This story is an alternate re-telling of the season 2 episodes 'The Runner' and 'The Epiphany' told with two very distinct changes: one, it's Rodney instead of John who gets stuck inside the time dilation field and two, the village inside the field is abandoned. Well, mostly abandoned. There might be this scary-looking guy with dreads hanging out there too.

Like everything Leesa Perrie and Janye Perry write, this story is well-written and engaging, and combining the two episodes together makes for an interesting plot mix. I have a weakness for stories that highlight the odd friendship/respect/fondness that Rodney and Ronon have for each other and this story shows the development of this unlikely friendship from a different-than-usual angle. This story is definitely worth reading!
