Why This Must Be Read: This is a short series of 2 fics, combining two of my great favorites - OT4 and slave-fic (also aphrodisiacs and drunk!fic, as a bonus). In the usual 'we'll do anything in the name of trade relations' spirit of SGA, Rodney, John and Ronon become Teyla's slaves off-world at a dinner/orgy. It's hot, yes, and hits a lot of kink buttons, but the dialog is also really great and their characterizations are spot on. A whole lot of fun.

Why This Must Be Read: This is one of Mira's lovely post-apocalyptic stories which is nonetheless, as the title says, unexpectedly happy. Forced by the Wraith to flee Atlantis, the team have formed an extended family and put down roots elsewhere in Pegasus. I love how they've all matured and the lovely complexity of their relationships and the lives they've made. Mira's stories like this one, set in these kind of 'exiled from Atlantis' 'verses aren't straightforwardly happy at all, but to me, they're comfort fic of the best and most real kind.

Why This Must Be Read: I absolutely love that none of the skills Rodney learns are the obvious choices and the scenarios in which he acquires them are also interesting and fairly unique. Okay, maybe the last one's a bit predictable, but it's a story about Rodney so it sort of had to go there eventually. The story's fun and entertaining: what more could you possibly want?
