Why This Must Be Read: This story is, essentially five snippets from five longer stories. It's truly amazing how much information eilidh17 manages to pack into the few short paragraphs of each snippet -- just enough to give the reader a sense of the larger story without actually wasting words with needless exposition. There's a bit of humour and a whole lot of understated angst, with an ending that rounds out the unresolved snippets with a very final ending that just somehow feels right, like the story couldn't have ended any other way.
