Why This Must Be Read: This story is beautiful. Despite what the description above makes it sound like, at its core it's about so much more than just sex. In fact, in many ways, that's the very last thing it's about. It's about a lonely Daniel coming back from Russia and suddenly deciding he just can't face the SGC and Jack just yet. It's also about a regretful, equally lonely Jim who's realizing he's waited too long to tell Jim he's in love with him. They're two people who meet at an airport when they're both feeling a little lost and vulnerable and then make a connection they weren't expecting.
Yes, there is a threesome in this story as well as some partner switching, which maybe makes it sound complicated. It's not. The plot flows seamlessly, everything happens in a gradual progression that doesn't feel forced at all and the sex is tastefully written. If you're looking for something just a bit bittersweet, even if (like me) you only have a very basic knowledge of The Sentinel, I highly recommend this story.
