Warnings: The blackened warning at the beginning of the story is spoilery. Highlight to read if you like to be warned.

Why This Must Be Read: A short story that starts with John waiting and ends with the gate closing after the team went through. If you don't read the warning first, you're in for a slow reveal of what's going on - masterfully done by the author. A touching story that shows the close connections between Teyla, Ronon, Rodney and John beautifully. Bittersweet (though more sweet than bitter in my opinion), heartbreaking and hopeful, sad for what happened and lovely for what follows. It made me tear up and smile at the same time.
All I can say is: if what happened had to happen, then this is the best way things could proceed afterward.
