Why this should be read: Ayama_chi creates an interesting situation where Atlantis wants the Ancient repository on another world. All John Sheppard needs to do is pretend that Evan Lorne is his lover. (On this world, the term "second" means lover/partner). John and Evan pretend to be loves and go through trials on this world. As the story develops you can see John get to know Evan and really care for him. Evan has always had a crush on John but he still pretends otherwise. It's a wonderful story. The characters are greatly developed. Great, wonderful read that I've read over and over again.

Why this should be read: This isn't technically about the Tok'ra, as much as it is the former host, Jack O'Neill, thinking about Kanan. It is a very interesting story, as we get the rare opportunity to see O'Neill's thoughts about the Tok'ra - thoughts that in this case is not as one-sided and negative, as they often appear. I love stories that shows a different side of characters, and this does. I think it is a very thoughtful little ficlet, and well worth more than one read.
