Why This Must Be Read: This is an absolutely glorious journey together with Teal'c, following the steps he trod on the road to rebellion. Here is the year between Ra's fall and COTG, from the perspective of a First Prime recognizing the repercussions of the death of the Supreme System Lord. The leaps from one scene to the next will leave you as breathless as Teal'c, leading up to that pivotal moment when he recognizes Jack as someone he can trust and follow. This is classic Magistrate fic: well-written, thought provoking, and perfectly in character.

Why this must be read: Despite this being a canon pairing, there is very few fics written about them. This is one of the only long ones about them, and it focuses on how Rosha and Martouf became hosts, and how it was for them at first - including how they reacted to suddenly being part of the long-time relationship between their symbiotes. I love background fics, and this is a very good one, with interesting world building and some cute scenes.
