Why this must be read:

This prize of a fic gives us a very painful twist on the supernatural challenge at another community. As Elizabeth Weir lies dying after being hit by the Asuran beam thing, her dog, Sledge, on Earth feels her dying and reacts to the pain. Being a dog owner and lover, this fic hit home all the more. I can definitely attest to the connection felt between dog and owner. A very touching, yet sad, look and POV on how Elizabeth's death affects those she's left behind.
