Why this must be read:

Jack wanders into something really unexpected when walking into Sam's lab. From this intriguing scenario, we get one of the most pant-inducing smut fics I've ever read for Daniel/Sam. And it doesn't hurt that there's a slight hint of Dan/Sam/Jack in the last few lines....  Even though lilyleia78 doesn't usually write het, she has pegged the "hot" factor for Dan/Sam with a side of Jack. I was definitely reaching for the window after reading this (even though it was -20 degrees F outside!! XD).  Go enjoy the heat in this cold winter month!

Why this must be read: And yet MORE Rodney goes to the Miller's for Christmas fic! Yesterday's fic saw Jeannie expecting a girlfriend and getting John instead. Today's fic gives us Jeannie expecting John and getting Evan. A lovely little bit of fluff which, to my mind, delightfully explores the bit of the McLorne relationship that is "everyone assumes that it'd be John and Rodney." Also features adorably bundled Rodney, amusing photo-texting with John and utterly gobsmacked Jeannie.

Why This Must Be Read: Because it isn't your standard the-world-ended-and-Sam-and-Jack-make-it-to-the-cabin fare. It's deeper than that. It's about Sam blaming herself for the end of the world, and learning how to let it go. It's about survival and quiet hope and finding normalcy when there isn't much of that to be had. More than just a beautiful Sam/Jack story, "Gravity Sings" is a beautiful Sam character study, framed by an apocalypse she couldn't prevent even if she knew it was coming.
