Why this must be read:

I'm not usually a fan of drabbles; I'm a much bigger fan of long and deep pieces. Yet this little piece fits the depth into 100 words. I can just picture this exchange between Janet and Daniel in the earlier days of their relationship or even in an alternate meeting scenario. The canon never shows us the little moments that all us shippers know Daniel and Janet had between the death defying missions and infirmary visits. Chanter's awesome drabble gives us a little peek into one such sweet moment.  It's short; it's sweet. It's so Dan/Jan!

Why this must be read: Daniel discovering he has strong feelings for Jack that run deep is one of my favorite stories to read. And this story delivers. It takes place after Daniel has come back from the dead and Jack is trying to help him remember something he forgot. Both characters are true to their personalities and it adds to the wonderful deliciousness of this story. Plus skinny dipping always helps!

Why this must be read:

This is one of the best approaches I've read so far to the kidfic trope. Children from another reality are transported to "our" Atlantis via an Ancient device activated by accident. The truly unique thing about these kids is the amount of trauma they carry. They are the last survivors of a dead city. They were trapped in a silent and vast city save for blood-sucking/draining monsters. These original characters are very well written and fleshed out; they feel like just another character in the show, just from another reality. How their presence in our world changes things is explored with lots of wonderful details by Xela's excellent writing. She says this is her most ambitious project ever; well this reader is hoping she undertakes another ambitious project! She's wonderful at them! Go read and leave feedback!!

Story Summary: An explosion in the abandoned sections sends Atlantis personnel scrambling to find out why. In another universe, Atlantis has fallen. All that's left of the expedition are a group of young refugees fighting for survival in the unexplored regions of the city, transported to a parallel universe by and Ancient device. What started out as a humanitarian effort to heal the kids becomes something more as they begin to find their way in this new universe, like their own but different in fundamental ways. They change the very fabric of Atlantis, and a few meddling kids might be what certain people need to realize what's right in front of their faces.
