Why this must be read:

Here’s a very touching and emotional look at the aftermath of rape. I always felt that the canon series never dealt with the aftermath of Daniel’s rape at Hathor’s hands. I realize that this wasn’t the focus of the series, but I felt a bit unsatisfied. Thank goodness I came across Maureen’s fic that corrected this oversight so well.

Daniel’s friends notice that he’s not getting better after the events of “Hathor” and try to help. It’s only after Sam relates an incident in her past that Daniel starts to make a turn for the better. The emotions in this story are so raw, both in the beginning as Daniel’s friends see him spiraling downwards and during Sam’s sharing when we get to see how deep she and Daniel care for each other. It’s Sam’s unique experience that is able to help Daniel overcome this traumatizing event and go forward. This fic will also appeal to fans of Sam and Daniel friendship fics. The relationship between these two characters is beautifully conveyed by Ms. Thayer.

Story Summary: Missing scene and tag for Hathor. Jack and Sam try to help Daniel deal with the trauma of what Hathor did to him.

Why This Must Be Read: For my 50th Jack/Daniel rec at stargateficrec (!), I wanted to pull out an oldie but a goodie. All I have to do is look at the title of this two-part ficlet to start cracking up. I mean, yes, it's hot. In fact, it's pretty much PWP—sexy thoughts, and arousal, and, as the title indicates, ill-advised but irresistible action. The author describes it as: Totally pervy, gratuitous smut.. (Very good smut, I'll add.)

But this is, after all, a universe that contains quantum mirrors, and in typical Keystone Cops SG-1 fashion, there's plenty of humor as well. I am utterly jealous The Grrrl thought of this situation before I did, but her rendition of it is so perfect, it can't be topped.
