Why this must be read: I’m not often a fan of crossovers because usually they don’t contain a plausible reason for the characters of two different shows to cross paths, or they have no reason at all. I love how creative the author was in coming up with a totally realistic, believable situation to explain why Temperance Brennan meets Samantha Carter. With all the “fishing at Jack’s cabin” episode tags that have been written for Moebius I and Moebius II, the fic makes for a refreshing change as a well written, albeit unusual, tag to the end of season 8.

Why This Must Be Read:

This is a wonderfully detailed AU where magic has replaced science in the land of Pegasus. It affects everyone: Bug!John has been ensorcelled, Rodney is a mage who has been taught magic requires a blood price, Ronon sees portents in everything, and Teyla serenely sings her spells that heal and protect. The relationship between Rodney and John is particularly interesting since John cannot speak, yet Rodney is able to understand and accept him from the very beginning, despite his appearance.

Why this must be read: After reading this I'm totally ready to board the HMS Cadman/Keller. This story is cute and funny. It's got Jennifer in competent! doctor mode, which I can really never get enough of. And we get to see what's going on in Laura's head (aided by yet another unfortunate incident with Ancient tech).

"Ah, scars are sexy," says Cadman, closing her eyes again. "Do your worst."
"Don't you trust my work?"
"Everyone in this city trusts your work." Jennifer's glad that Cadman can't see her ducking her head in embarrassed gratification. "I'm just saying, if I do happen to end up with a scar, I can make up as many stories as I want about how I got it in the name of national security."
