Why this must be read: This was a 2009 SGA Big Bang fic and one of many excellent offerings from the authors over at Caffiends. Admittedly Religious/Supernatural AU didn't immediately trip my trigger and it took me awhile to get to read this one, but it was very much a case of "don't judge a book by its cover." The characters are delightfully true to form despite being varying degrees of AU, and many of the Atlantis characters are present and accounted for, as well as the Stargate program and the members of SG-1. Rodney as an angel is particularly not to be missed, and in the spirit of "a picture is worth a thousand words," I'll link to my favorite accompanying fanart as a further fic endorsement:
