Why this must be read: It's a wonderful established relationship fic in which David ends up feeling like his life is one big mess and Lorne promises to fix it, and employs his own smarts to keep his promise. I like that we're shown Lorne can be smart when he wants to be and the relationship stuff is angsty at the beginning but then Lorne fixes everything going wrong in Parrish's life and it's so romantic and heart-warming. Truly a gem of a story.

Why this must be read: I know that calling a story a "beautiful rape recovery fic" might sound a little strange, but this fic, whose premise truly is that of rape recovery, is entirely beautiful. If anyone caught my previous rec, Ad Libitum, this is the relationship that was established in that fic and the story of the aftermath of Carson being captured, raped and abused off-world. Excellent, realistic portrayal of the characters' reactions to the rape, to the recovery, and to the challenges of a threesome relationship in the long term make this a must read.

Why this must be read: "Apparently, our President is a strange, lonely man who'd rather dine with a bunch of people he can literally order to jump off a cliff than spend five minutes to himself." The President "invites" Jack and Sam to have dinner with him and Hammond. A great peek into the little seen world of the White House, DC and Hayes. Very witty interplay between the President and Jack - Hayes enjoys torturing Jack far too much.

Why this must be read:  I really liked the original plot of this story and the way it builds up the relationship between Lorne and Parrish - it's not a quick lets-jump-into-bed sort of thing, but slowly builds up their attraction. I love that there's not just porn, but has all of these character developments and other things. It's romantic and makes you feel all weak in the knees. Truly, this author is very talented with this 'ship and reading any of their stories is a privilege but this one is my absolute favorite.
