Why this must be read: This is one of the best kidfics I have ever read. It's a solemnly sweet story about Sam and Jack's youngest son, a quiet thoughtful boy, who invites his father to Take Your Hero to School Day. Even if you don't usually like kidfic, I recommend this one because it's just so well written. Remi writes the characters brilliantly, especially the boy, and does a great job depicting Sam and Jack in domestic life without being corny or sappy.

Why this must be read: This is a beautifully written AU where there are Benefactors, those people in the aristocracy from established houses, who own Companions, individuals trained to be as they are called, human companions, physically, sexually and emotionally. Not what I would necessarily consider a BDSM verse, although the Benefactor/Companion relationship does largely represent a D/s one in some ways. This is my favorite sort of AU, where all of the characters are still essentially themselves, in personality and profession, where there are still Stargates and the SGC. This fic even includes one of my favorite uses of ancient tech! Please don't let the warnings scare you off, this is an epic moving story with as many and more happy, lovely and sexy moments as there dark and depressing ones, as well as a lovely happy ending. Not only a must read McKay/Sheppard/Beckett threesome, but a must-read AU. Among my favorite fics!

Why this must be read: Sam and Jack undergo a bonding ritual (not the marriage kind, but more of a warrior one). Although this fic is PG and kind of UST, it still manages to be as hot as the jungle Sam and Jack are in. The imagery is vivid and plays into all the senses, eloquent and intense. An absolutely gorgeous fic.

Why this must be read:
This is the one of the first fics I've read in this fandom, and I still vividly remember getting sucked into the story and being dazzled by the quality of the writing. McKay injures his hands while Sheppard gets blinded, and the two have to rely on each other completely... all the while being hunted by an extremely scary killer robot. Total page-turner, and the whump serves the plot well. (26,000 words)
