Why this must be read:

This is a WIP, the author has indicated that it will never be finished, and it does indeed end very abruptly, mid-scene, leaving you going waaaah! But, even if WIPs aren’t usually your thing, this fic is nonetheless incredibly rewarding. It’s one of Paian’s glorious Lost City tags, and Jack here is at his most alpha, his most decisive, his most powerful – but also his most controlled. This is a Jack who has been not taking what he wants for a very long time, and who still will not take what he wants, even if Daniel appears willing to give it, unless it is right. There’s sex here, lots of sex, graphic, very well-written sex – and I’m one who has been known to skip the sex when reading fic to get to the talky bits, but here I read every damn word. (Uh, maybe more than once or twice. *g*) There is intimacy, love, and negotiations about power, dominance and trust. Jack, facing death via the gradual takeover of his mind, has never been stronger than how he is written here, and he’s breathtaking.
